Does anyone have and use a HSBC Advance account (£12.95pm).
Would just like to know who is using it and making the most of it. At £155.40 per year (:Da nice chunk paid of xmas presents:D)
I currently have one but i would like to hear from the people and not the bank about how to make the most of it....if you can.

HSBC are a very good bank in terms of general service, their website is also top notch. On the flip side their packaged accounts represent very poor value for money. I have a Barclays Additions account which is infinitely better than anything HSBC offer. For fifteen pounds per month I get RAC fully comprehensive breakdown cover with home start and European cover. Worldwide travel insurance, mobile phone insurance, 24/7 legal helpline, gadget insurance, will writing service, and identity theft assistance. There is also a service that notifies your card issuers if your cards are lost or stolen.
Compare the above with what HSBC are putting on the table and you will see what an absolute waste of time the advance account is. HSBC is my main bank but I have a Barclays account just for the benefits. One other thing, the Barclays mobile banking app is top notch, the HSBC one is extremely poor considering we are in 2013 and they are one of the biggest banks in the world.Money is a wise mans religion0
