Printer sold & delivered 3/3/13

Bought a printer, tested it, found it to be working fine, sold it 3/3/13.
Buyer was a real genuine guy and had a good 10min chat with him.
Came back to me and said he is having problems with it. I have tried to help him as best as can but if he requests a refund, where will I stand? Its nearly 2 months since I sold the printer and I have a 14day return policy?

At the time, I wasn't. I am now.

Was it a cheap secondhand printer, or did you charge a lot of money and include a lifetime warrenty and phone support?

Exactly that, it depends how it was sold. New or used. If used, with any guarantees. 14 day return is not always relevant.

HP 6500A Plus - I bought it cheap, ex display from auction. It was listed as New - Other & made clear it was an ex display and in working order (which it was).

Never offered any warranty or support. Sold for £36 so fairly cheap.

He won't be able to request a refund after 45 days but if you are a decent person then you should try to help him out.
