Hi, has anybody got any experience of Lyons Robin Hood Holiday Park in Wales, as the wife noticed we can get a full 7 days holiday in a 6 berth chalet there for just over £300 in peak time August, so that has got me thinking it must be that cheap for a reason, would just to know what other people have thought about the park itself, the accomodation and is there much for kids age ranging from 3 - 11 on the park and in the surrounding areas.
TIA
TIA
Take every day as it comes!!

The Robin Hood site is a couple of miles to the East of Rhyl town centre and sits alongside a busy main road. It isn't really all that close to anywhere and it's seperated from the beach by a golf course. Unless you fancy your chances sprinting across the fairways you'd basically need to take the car or bus to get anywhere off site. I've never been on the site myself but it has a bit of a reputation and it certainly looks at bit grim from what you see when you drive past.
Lyons do have another site not all that far away called "Winkups and Primrose" which doesn't have the same reputation as Robin Hood so that might be worth checking out. Again it's not somewhere I've been but I used to drive past it on the way to work every day and from the outside it doesn't look anything like as bad as Robin Hood. It's located in Towyn which is a tourist resort about two miles to the west of Rhyl. The Winkups site is just across the road from the Tir Prince Raceway which has a reasonably decent funfair, it's about ten minutes walk from another funfair (Knightlys) and it's also within easy walking distance of the beach as well as the usual assortment of amusement arcades, fun pubs, fast food outlets, convenience stores and so on that you'd expect to find in a tourist resort. And if you want the experience of visiting Rhyl, and an experience it will be, you're not that much further away than you would be at Robin Hood. The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water
And I look like a tramp and tramps like us

Lyons used to be the cheap neighbour of Robin Hood but lyons bought them out . My Brother used to "Live there " with his mates in the far end . Its out of the way . A tad tierd but a old style join in hollybobs with a decent club pool and park . £300+ in August with days out . hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0
