Hello I am looking to find a DJ for my wedding in December, near Preston. It's just a bit of a daunting process as I'm am a little scared to just randomly pick one that sounds good. I would much prefer if someone could recommend one preferably who is good value or maybe can give me some advice?
Any help is much appreciated.

I think Hayley Kay from radio wave still does parties & weddings etc.
I've found her FB page:

I would of thought picking your own might be best in this situation, people can tell you who they had and recommed them but end day we all have differnet tastes in music..People don't know what they want until you show them.0

Depends on what sort of event it will be but Mad MC is usually popular if you like things on the entertaining side, does the venue have anyone they can recommend?0

Well we ended up booking with Dave Pierce Entertainment. They have loads of excellent reviews online, in fact it seems the previous customers can't rave on enough about how good the service is. Dave met up with us to plan the event and now we are really happy we've found a DJ we can trust and rely on. :j http://www.davepierceentertainment.co.uk/0

Word of mouth really is the best way to find a suitable DJ - there are loads of them out there and prices can vary. Do you want them to play the music that you want or what they think will be good (its not necessarily the same thing!). I have been to many where the bride was either upset or furious as the DJ specifically did things that they had said not to do - play certain tracks, or talk all night etc.
Check they have PLI and the equipment is PAT tested as that demonstrates that they are professional and can be trusted. Can you get to see them in action? Ask them questions to see if you are on the same wavelength0
