If your job is making you I'll, just walk away. There is no chance they will take you to court. This happens all the time. Remember, if he takes you to court, he will have his dirty linen washed in public, which he won't want.

There is nothing worse than a job making you I'll. it has a huge affect on every aspect of your life.

    Just do it.

Your Doctor might do things totally different than mine but as I said before when I went to my Doctor about this I was told

"You job is causing depression, anti depressants will not fix the problem, the only way to fix it is by talking to HR about the problem".

Whilst its unlikely they would goto court its not unheard of. You cannot give carte blanche it won't happen

Yes it is not unheard of. But the cases in the last 10 years can be counted on one hand.

My GP never told me to go and talk to HR, sometimes things go way beyond that or you work for companies that dont have an HR dept.

My GP rarely gives out anti depressants either, however, they did sign me off with work related stress when my working conditions were making me ill.

OP, if you leave this job now, how will you manage financially.
I agree with what has already been said. If you really do want to leave, get a note from your GP send it to your bosses and include your resignation with it.

But please make sure you have enough income to live on if you resign.
