Ive just got back from school to find 2 very young ( just hatched?) baby sparrows on the ground, both dead:(:( looks like they fell out of a nest in the eaves

Afternoon all
Not really been around for a few days. Couldn't keep up as had some lovely family time for the bank holiday
My friends baby shower on Saturday was good fun and the very MSE hamper I made seemed to go down well. I'd have been happy to receive it
Sunday we took the boys to SkegVegasLovely day, but sea breeze meant I didn't notice my head getting burnt
Guess it's not really been exposed before. Will be investing in a sun hat and being more careful in future.
Yesterday I had a meltdown in the morning after I ripped a hole in the only pair of jeans I had that fitWent shopping with DSis and got some linen trousers in Ts. Managed to pick up a few of the new mags too which cheered me up a bit :T
We had a BBQ in the afternoon and then finally had an evening out at the pub with DH  First time since baby H has been born. Was lovely to catch up with everyone and no headache this morning
Have finally just had the phonecall I've been waiting for since the 17th  Have got an appt for PET CT scan next Monday to see if i'm fixed. Will factor in a little shopping trip whilst we have to stay away from homeSpecialist nurse will then phone me with the results next Wednesday afternoon
Hope some of you will be around to :j:j or :eek: with me as I'll be home alone with the little ones. Glad to finally have a date to aim for. Have got everything crossed.
Hope you're all finding the 1p chocs. I'm sitting this one out as have made decision that I need to watch what I'm eating more closely now. Need to regain a little self confidence.
Hugs to tinyshoes, HopePray, AngelsMadv and the Lalas
Hope your first day back at work was ok FLoFlo

Afternoon all
Logie everything crossed for you scan. I know it is terrifying waiting for news and seems so cruel they can't give you the results there and then. Keeping busy is the only way and sounds like you had a lovely weekend.
Angelsvmad I understand your pain as my eldest son decided to move in with his dad when he was 14. Broke my heart at the time as ds1 had glandular fever at 10 and then ME for years after. He had only really just started to recover and I was the one that held him night after night whilst ill. I had moved out of the villiage he grew up in (only a couple of miles away) and I think it was his friends he moved back for really.
Ex had always been a hard worker and although we had trouble with son not attending school in his last year he did get his dads work ethic and has worked since day he left school, including time in australia. He has now bought his own home (27 now) has a lovely g/f and 20 month old son. I do find it hard to pin him down to visit sometimes but he still comes to his mum for advice rather than his dad.
Ds2 moved back to his dads at 14 as well, but I was living 150 miles away with him then. I had no reason to complain at his choice as his dad lived near top 10 school aand with ds1 and dd help he did well in exams and again worked since day he left school. They were lucky that in both cases their dad arranged their jobs but they progressed nicely.
I think the hardest part is remembering that this man is the man your wife choose to have children with. Therefore all there faults were appealling in the beginning. My sons have picked up both bad and good points from their father but it is hard when the bad out weigh the good. I am sure it will not be long before your son realises his fathers strengths and failings.
I hope the time apart helps to rebuild your family as the other children are equally important. Hopefully the time at his dads will help him rebuild his relationship with you both so he feels he can come to you for guidance and support.
Always make him feel welcome in your house but under your rules which I am sure he will happily abide by.
Sorry for such a long post but felt it important for you to know many families face similar things.
I wish you every luck in rebuilding your family unit as you appear such a loving and kind father and you have given your wife and children then best possible foundation to build a new life.
Right I will get off my soap box now as it appears the previous tennants of this house decided in their infinate wisdom to secure stair carpet with a staple gun so I have several hundred staples to remove from stairs before new carpet can be laid.
Think I will go off to t's first and then pick up last weeks boots order:D
