Good morning all, (well it is for me;)).
I've had a quick skim read to catch up a bit. So sorry some of you are troubled, and I hope things improve, particularly for Angelsmadv. i think you're an amazing man to take on five children. Being a parent is such a hard job, and parenting children that you have taken on must be even harder. You obviously care a great deal for them all. I hope Groupon reinstate your vouchers, how nice of the rep to post.(Amazing who reads our thread eh)
Nannylala, hope your bil improves. You have had a lot to cope with recently, sending hugs.
    TS, just big hugs.
Well, yesterday was a washout. It peed down, monsoon style all day. I shouldn't have sent that good weather home to you lot;):D.
I spent the day tidying and sorting as we'd unpacked hurriedly the day before. I baked a cake for DH. We fed the birds, setting out sugar for the finches and Bananaquits, and 'my' laughing gull reappeared. I say 'my', cos his behaviour was the same as last year, sitting on a rock in the garden calling, and as soon as I go out on the balcony he takes off and swoops above me, calling for bread, which he catches on the wing. I may be wrong, and it's not 'my' gull, but I like to think it is.:)
Today is better, sunshine and a bit of cloud, with scattered showers forecast. Temp is 84 degrees.:D
I've just made a big jug of Pina Colada with lots of rum in it for our lunchtime drinkie, and it's freezing nicely.
    Will post some photos soon

He's just turned 11. The problem with the thinking is that any child at his age would feel the same looking at it. He goes to his dad's and gets to stay up late, watch 18 rated movies, have unlimited computer time, wear same underpants for 7 days, not wash or brush his teeth, and eat pizza for every meal. Add to that he gets what he wants even if he misbehaves. Who wouldn't want to leave my home with its rules and regulations!

Hopefully he'll come to see later that it was all put in place for his benefit.

I know how u feel my dd whose 14 recently decided the grass was greener and wanted to live with her dad...we decided to let her go for few weeks as tension between oh and dd was unbearable but nowshe has decided she wants to stay there full time but still catch train to skoolby us which is over hr each way....unfortunately her dad decided to encourage her even to the point of once hegets child benefit tfred to his name he will. Get her expensive mobile and new hollister clothes ....is driving me mad and he just lets her run wild she is getting into trouble at skool even dyed her hair pink but her dad thinks she is just expressing herself....am hoping she will change her mind but not sure....
