What on earth is the point of those shine things  do people actually pay money for them?
If a store didnt have the free product then by all meanss complain
However, wasn't there something about till spits being for product Y but people were using it for product X because it hPpened to work and took money off the shopping...and getting another till spit for product Y (because the till hadn't been programmed properly) but using it to get another X and money off, etc etc
There were more till spits issued than there were pro otional packs sold and so offer was pulled Nd people who complaindd were compensated.
Dr ortkef is not issuing more MOCs than promotional packs are sold sk its totally different IMHO

Yes, this was one of the things I was going to say earlier, the longer receipts tend to give much less. Some mathematician (sadly I'm not!:)) or probability theorist can tell us, but I suspect the more items on there, the more likely they are to average out (and be 10% less because a proportion of those will be special offers people have picked up). It matters not what the offer is, more so where it's placed in the store. I think recent article (may have been BBC article linked to from much earlier on this thread) said one store noticed a particular type of beer being bought more. It happened to be situated above a red sign that said "Shoplifters will be prosecuted". No special offer on the beer, apparently general people just associate the red with a special offer and pick up the item next to it. They haven't got time when in store, a few split seconds to pick the products they want... a supermarket's paradise perhaps!
Regarding the long womble, I haven't seen fit to quote the whole lot here (you can see it on the original post of course) - and it doesn't really tell me much I didn't already know sadly. I will study it in depth though!:D
Sorry to quote myself - but I'm just going 'zzzzz....' at reading my own post now - gosh that's a dry post!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

I think the majority used the coupons for the right products at the time.
The glitch was after you had bought your first pack of toilet rolls whatever product you had a coupon for eg shine sheets produced another coupon. That was totally out of our control that we got more coupons back and that the shine sheets were cheaper than the face value of the coupon. I think some people said at the time Ts would be claiming the full value of the coupon from KC. I had mixed results at the time some SAs just took off the correct price and others were happy just to scan them.0
