Thank you lutzi and TM, can you tell I am dreading it. I would be all right if no one else had to come too. :o

Hope I am not stirring up too many uncomfortable memories for everyone.

No I don't think you are. It s good to talk about things isn t it. Mind you it was a long time ago in my case. I dreaded it too but once it's over you will hopefully start to feel a bit better, I did in a way. It's hard to write down and explain really.

I promise you it will be ok, and you will get some comfort from something that happens at some point during the day. I and lots of others on here will be holding your hand in spirit. Waiting for the funeral is never nice, but it will pass. :A xxx

Thinking of you TS, lutzi said it just right, it will be okay.

Squills, I salute you, wish you a happy birthday and thank you for all the many helpful things you've posted which have helped me. I wave my glass of whisky in your general direction. :D
    Hope is not a strategy.

Funny how we worry/stress over such stupid things when we are about to bury the most precious thing we've ever had on earth.

When my mother passed away and it was her funeral, I too, was worrying about my shoes, my top, etc. I worried that I had on too much make up. But at the moment when I saw her coffin. I suddenly realised that nothing was important. I had to just be there. Do the right thing and make her proud. I was the most grown up, i've ever been.

I know she'd have been proud of me, and I hold on to that. I hope you do too, Tiny.

Life is all going to end and all the sufferings she had, and all the worries are all gone. However, we will never be able to hold these precious people in our arms again. That's the part that hurts. I so wish I could hold my mother's hand - just once more. It often hits me. But as time passes, you will smile, more than you will cry. But you will never forget.
My thoughts are with you at the moment. The end of life of a dear loved one, is so sad for those who are left behind.

Thank you for those lovely words. :A:A:A
