Indeed it was as still on their website at £478! - 46" Samsung was £649 down to £400, 40" Samsung £270, range of Toshiba, Samsung, Panasonic, Toshiba and some of their budget brand (?? Forget name) at around £200 for 40". 50" lg £350! The stock had yellow RTC barcode labels on (was hoping for DTD but unlucky!).
Just struck lucky on timing as unlikely to be there for long.

Just reading back, I'm sorry the news isn't better SpirallingDown. :A
It seems reading all the posts that a few of us on here have lost babies. Inevitably you wonder what might have been, but I find a certain fatalism/ acceptance that's the way it was meant to be helps. Sorry if that offends anybody, I don't mean it to.Hope is not a strategy.0 -
Evening everyone :j Thanks for everyone's posts the last few days - I have been busy working, but did relieve the shelves of my local Mr T of a few tins of the Parioli Pasta Sauce and several packets of pasta - a slight issue with the coupons, in that the till says "item not purchased" even though I clearly had, anyway nothing a little trip to the Customer Services desk couldn't sort out!
Thanks to Artha for confirming the local stores have the magazines, claire1972 for the jelly sweets info and Savvybuyer - your posts are amazing, thank you so much xxxx
I still have the Teesside meet on my "to do" list- I will be in touch with all those who have expressed an interest via PM. Xxxx :j
A house divided against itself cannot stand - I love this proverb, and thanks to my lovely family for making me realise that we can get through most things together

. I gave up looking because every where was spotless!
I've also had a load of personal family problems to get through that have prevented me from getting to SADA as often as I might have and generally shopping at the nearest store to me when I feel up to it.
We as a family have had some very good news but also some devastating news as well. There are two babies due in the family, one is to DH's sister so my 1st niece or nephew, due in Nov. The other is to my cousin, this little guy isn't going to make it
the docs have given him a 1% chance of surviving birth and even if he does he may only live for a few hours. The docs suspect he has Edwards syndrome, he also has a hole in the top of his spine, a faulty valve somewhere in his skull allowing spinal/brain fluid to leak out which is forming in a mass at the base of his skull and growing quite quickly. Cousin is booked in to have a C-section in August and has been to price a plot in the graveyard for the wee guy, we were talking about grave stones and I took her to see my DH's one as she wants one that will last and not fade. It just seems so surreal that in one hand we were looking at getting him a christening gown and a matter of hours later pricing his funeral
Suffice it to say I've really lost my mojo and in the grand scheme of things it's not that important, sorry if I've upset anyone but today and the past few have been very hard. I've tried not to upset anyone by talking about it as emotions are running very high at the moment.
Sorry that you are having a hard time.0 -
I'm sure I noticed some 32" for £150 as well.Indeed it was as still on their website at £478! - 46" Samsung was £649 down to £400, 40" Samsung £270, range of Toshiba, Samsung, Panasonic, Toshiba and some of their budget brand (?? Picture the scene- me and my little boy are walking down the road yesterday morning at 9am singing old macdonald and having a little dance in the street. We've passed a woman with a buggy and I've smiled and said "morning" The very charming response was " F off you cheery !!!!!"
Lovely eh.
I was totally stunned and speechless (not a normal response I can assure you)
Beautiful ain't it. :rotfl:
How awful, some people are just soooo nasty:(
I love smiling at people, most smile back, the older generation especially the men say morning, or lovely day, but you get the odd sour pusses who just sneer at you or totally ignore you!"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138
