Can I cancel ebay bid?

I have made a mistake by bidding on a camera body on ebay, I thought the lens that I already have would fit it but I now realise I am wrong. Can I cancel and if so how?

There are 3 days left on item

Thanks

Contact the seller to say you bid in error.

No need to contact the seller, just do what other buyers do and cancel it yourself using a spurious reason from the drop down menu eBay provide.

I ignore such requests - they can cancel it themselves.

Last time I asked a buyer to cancel themselves, they didn't, and then it was a major faff to sort it out after the bidding ended.

I use none paying bidder assistant. No action needed - and buyer gets a strike.
