requested my atos medical report two days ago and its just arrived, still waiting for my decision letter, would be gratefull if anyone could tell me if there is anything i can do to get the ball rolling regarding my first port of call once i receive it. my report states that i cannot for the majority of the time, remain at a work station either sitting or standing for more than 30 mins before having to move away to avoid significant discomfort or exhaustion, also states that i managed to walk 20 metres to the exam room using my walking stick very slowly, and stated that i was sweating profusely, my reason for the sweating was because of the pain whilst walking to the room. at the back of the report she has stated that i advise that work could be considered within 3 months. reasons for the opinion given is that the evidence suggests review in the shorter term, now im very worried even though she writes that i suffer severe pain:(

Have you considered an appeal? You have one month from the date of the decision latter.0

You should _NOT_ wait for the decision letter, but write the DWP explaining the issues with the report. (to the same address on your ESA letters).
However.
Cannot ... workstation... 30 mins - is a 9 point descriptor.
Walking only 20m with severe pain - unless it is held that it's reasonable for you to use a wheelchair - is a 15 point, and qualifies you for the support group.
If the decisionmaker agrees with the report, it seems likely you will either qualify for the support or WRAG groups.
If there are significant inaccuracies in the report - then contact the DWP to tell them you are sending a letter tomorrow, and send a recorded delivery letter off to them explaining the inaccuracies.0 -
thank you i will send letter tomorrow, if my decision comes after i send it, should i still carry on and ask for it to be looked at again or can i go straight to appeal, thanks0
