I got a vodafone contract on the 20th of november 2012 phones 4 u said the iphone 5 was 4g enabled however I have found out that 4g when it arrives on vodafone wont be available on the Iphone 5. I want to cancel contract or get contract alter any advice??

Thing is, it is 4G capable, but only on certain networks and bands. This is of course when it rolls out to everyone else, not just EE atm.

You're on a hiding to nothing I think. The phone is 4G capable, depending on which provider you use. Unless the specific data was around when you got the contract of which band Voda 4G would be on, and you have witnesses, and written proof, you're gunna get nothing.

I would suggest monitoring the next iphone or two and seeing if band capability improves then sell the 5 for one that (potentially) might work on Vodafone.

I got told when i was buying it that when vodaphone releases 4g that phone will be compatable with that so i feel i have been missold is that correct or not?

on the face of it, it sounds like you may have a case.... take it up with the p4u shop/manager you got it from, or failing that get vodafone involved..

I genuinely doubt you have a case, but feel free to try anyway.

Unless you asked specifically if 4G will work with vodafone on the iphone 5 and have conformational proof, either writing or witnesses, and you can prove that the information of which bands voda will use on 4G is widely known at that point then you are not going to get any where. Your best bet would've been to approach vodafone themselves at the time of buying to ask in advance.

It's the same as many other 4G phones some will work with some providers on 4G, and some won't.
