The car hire firm will have a credit card on file, so that if the speeding ticket is not paid by one of the named drivers, the hire firm's T&Cs will probably mean that the ticket is paid that way (plus a generous admin charge, no doubt). In the unlikely event this doesn't happen, I'd expect DH to be "pulled" on one of his future visits to Spain and instructed to pay the outstanding fine (plus any penalty) on the spot!
I stand by what I said in post #16 of this thread, and see no need to comment further on this topic.
If that was going to happen, it would have done already. The hire company are out of the picture now. And taking money out of the card now would be an unauthorised withdrawal which a charge back would be in order.
And on a future visit to Spain, unless there they were pulled over because of an offence it's highly unlikely that would ever happen. It's also highly unlikely that people will get pulled on entering or leaving Spain as they barely even check passports from flights from within the EUWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.
