As title - are there still meters (for gas and electric) that take £1 coins.?

    They may still exist in the private sector (i.e where they belong to the landlord) but no licenced suppliers use them.

    They crop up on ebay from time to time if you want one.

    Would it not make more sense to grab an older one that takes 5 and 10p coins - they would be cheaper to run.
