eON ENERGY dont care.

I thought I would check price comparisons sites to see if i could get a better deal than what eon are currently giving me.

There were better deals, so thought I'd give eon a call to see if they could atleast match it.

I was put through to a female, i told her i had checked price comparison sites and wondered if eon my supplier could offer a better deal.

I was shcoked at what she said to me, these are her exact words.
"we do not care about price comparison sites"
Me "so you can't offer me a better deal?"
Her "No"
Me "Ok, I will consider switching energy supplier"
Her "we do not care, we dont need you as a customer"
After that I politley hung up.

Does this person not realise, without customers, no matter how big or small, they would not exist.

Due to this I am now definetly leaving eON.

If those really were her exact words, not paraphrased in any way, I'd be writing a complaint to eon with the date and time of the call. It might have been recorded (*robot voice* "for training purposes") and if I was her manager I'd want to know if she was talking to customers like that. Then again her manager might not care either ;)

Maybe you're just not a high spender on fuel, or otherwise don't fit their target customer profile, so they don't want you.

That is a ridiculous thing to say.

    Is it?

There's no excuse for them being rude on the phone, but it's quite possible that any company may not want certain profiles of customer.

    I said stop being ridiculous

He's not, loads of business's will turn away customers that don't hit their target profile.

Being a customer sometimes seems to go to people's heads, are you sure thats the exact wording?

This is the ideal comeback thread after a PPR was lifted. I'm sure you'll have a long and fruitful stay this time.
