Loan for my situation
Options
Firstly is a mortgage considered a debt? And having a mortgage a consideration when getting a (personal unsecured) loan?
So I need to get a 15K loan.
I have student debt around 11K remaining and 1K on a credit card.
I earn around 25K. Been in work over 2 years.
How likely is it I can get the loan at a low interest rate, basically, do I have a 'good profile' to get one?

You will have issues with that amount on your salary. 15k is a lot to borrow0

Need or want a loan?
There is a huge difference."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
what is the student debt?
what do you NEED the loan for?0 -

Surely you only need 12k?
Will your loan be a lower APR than your student debt0 -

I don't think the OP is looking to consolidate (would be daft to do so anyway, as you allude to). I believe the £15k loan is for something else.0 -
whats the relevance of the mortgage? do you have one?0

Got the loan.
15K @7.9 from Halifax over 7 years, plan to repay within the year.
Went in to branch at lunch break, only intended to find out my options.
That apparently was a 'offer' rate. However going into online banking, they were showing on my account summary page, a representative offer of 16.5K at 8.8 and anything under 15K at 6.8. And that was personalised for me apparently.
They never heard about Halifax giving 6.8, apparently even staff dont get that rate. Must be online only thing.
Either way needed the loan quite urgently, and i got it, so all is good.0 -

Quite surprised really since your salary is 25k and the 15k is more than half the salary but there you go.0 -

And apparently has a mortgage, plus a student loan of £11k and £1k on a credit card.
Perhaps the whole situation is better illustrated by the times of the OP's posts -1.07am and 1.28am. Maybe more fortified by visits to the pub than the Halifax.
Plus, in February he was telling us he was a property baron and lending money out:

And he was saying then that he had £10k available to put in an ISA that would soon be £15k!!!"There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -

Borrowing seems to be getting easier again now. I've noticed a few posters have got loans recently that they probably wouldn't have got a few months ago.
And out here in the real world I've heard a few similar stories too.0
