Halifax now offering £100 switch

Went into Halifax the other day and they're now doing switches for £100 if you do it in branch rather than £50 online. Avoid the rush and make the most of it!

I assume that, if this is the case, the £100 will be coming online too.... It doesn't make sense that they'd try to persuade people to come in branch (cost-cutting and all that)

Nor does it make sense that their online saver interest rate is lower than the branch based Everyday saver.

Maybe it won't come online, maybe Halifax would like to see more people coming into branches to see them, rather than the ones who go online and then complain in branch when it's not what they expected.
