Did you manage to get one LittleMissy?

I tried a couple years back to open one but I found myself lacking in I.D as well. Ended up having my wages just paid into a relatives account. I applied for Easy Cash also but never heard anything. Then a few weeks or months down the line I got a letter from them with my Bank Number and Login etc. I ignored it though for ages but they constantly sent me out statements. Anyways I recently found the letter again and decided to log into the account and see if it was still active and it was. I thought I would test it too and sent £10 over from the Family members account I use and that went through fine.

Recently tried to withdraw some money from a betting account to it and that is nowhere to be seen. Also I have never received the Debit card they are supposed to give you when you register for the account! Think I will have to phone them up about it but might look a right c*nt after not using it for all this time.

P.S. They never got any form of I.D. off me either when opening that account.

    Hi Snizza,

No, I've not tried to open one yet......been too busy so just been using sister's account.

I'm hoping to have the opportunity to go into branch next week; perhaps my first attempt should be to open an Easy Cash account ;)

I'll update the thread once I've tried :)

OP you can apply online for most basic accounts.

From your original post if your letter from HMRC is a confirmation of tax code it will be ok - anything else it might not be.

If you apply online and they cannot verify you electronically they will send you a letter in the post with a request that you visit a branch with ID as per their requirements.
