Large parcel to australa

I have an item listed which is for sale in the uk only due to the size. An Australian buyer has contacted me asking if I can send to Australia. The parcel weighs about 2 kg but the size exceeds the 90 cm combined size rule

Anyone have any suggestions ?

You will need accurate weight and dimensions for the courier gurus to advise. Also is there a 90cm combined rule? All I can see is the maximum length on any one side of 60cms.

I'm fairly sure there is a 90 cm rule. It used to be 110, but has reduced.

    Can it be split?

However you still need accuarate measurements of weight, dimension and value to get an accurate quote.

Try transglobalexpresss, they wont be the cheapest but they are excellent.

Remember not everything you can send within the UK can be imported into Aus, so check for restrictions.

It is definitely over the 90 cm limit, I can't split it and I have now had another buyer in New Zealand asking for postage rates.

Guess I will have to box it up and get a courier quote. Think the postage may be more that the item will sell for .

I've used parcel monkey to get stuff shipped to me in Sydney from the UK. I've generally found the prices very competitive even for large items over 4ft long.

Just checked Parcel Monkey and for a 2kg parcel with dimensions of 105 x 45 x 45 cm it is quoting £419.95

You really need to get an accurate weight if it is around 2kg. Even a gram over 2kg will rule out Royal Mail services.

Royal Mail aren't an option even at 2kg, and Parcelforce won't quote because of the size

To be honest as that size, you will be calculated on a volumetric weight, so it is going to be expensive. Somewhere around £150 I would think as a base price.

    Is there anyway you can reduce the h x w x d?

Sadly not, so shipping overseas really isn't an option this time.
