When is interest added to a Credit card account?

in Credit cards
Hi all,
I know this may sound like a silly question but I've never actually been in this position before and if I'm honest I don't really understand how interest is charged on a credit card.
I have now just £716 left to pay off my credit card and intend to do this next payday once I have received my statement and am trying to plan my budget for the coming month.
When I receive my statement it tells me the expected amount of interest that will be charged if I pay the minimum but what if I pay off the whole amount? Will I have to pay any interest if I pay the bill in full? Or will I just need to pay the balance as it is on my statement?
TIA

You'll have some trailing interest. Pay two statements in full and you'll pay no more interest.0

You will have to clear two statements balances in full to stop the interest, zx81 sums it up.0

Thanks, I did wonder if there might be some interest to pay on the following statement but wasn't sure. Still it will only be a few pounds so I can budget for that0
