DRO application - favoured some creditors
Options
Hi, I have another question about DRO. For a few years whilst I was employed I was on a debt management programme, but the minimum amount I paid out to creditors kept increasing til I could no longer afford it.
Last year I moved house 3 times and my monthly outgoings varied each month (due to paying deposits and 1 months rent upfront), July 2012 - I split up with my boyfriend and it affected my mental health, so my manager put me on part time hours for 3 months (1st Sept to 30th Nov), which I can prove. Anyway the point of my story is that I quit my debt management programme around the same time as I couldnt afford it and ignored all my debts/creditors for approx 8 months.
One of my debts turned into a CCJ and one of my creditors this year was calling my employer 10x a day, so presently Im making small payments to the CCJ and this annoying creditor! However now I know that I've favoured these two creditors (and ignored the 15 others) and means my application for a DRO could be rejected
Is there anything I can do here??
I am currently unemployed and on benefits, and was recently accepted for a new credit card which I have been using and been making the minimum £5 payments. I really want to apply for a DRO, but feel that I'm going to be rejected based on the above info.
What should be my next step? Begin to make £1 payments to all my creditors even though I know the payday loan creditors will reject this and demand more? Apply for a DRO now or on a later date??
Any advice will be much appreciated, thanks.

If the payments were small and as a result of a CCJ or creditor pressure, then I think it unlikely there would be a problem. And as far as I recall, the intermediary guidance says as much.
There are a few intermediaries who post here, so hopefully they will confirm/clarify later.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

I just remembered that last month a High Court Enforcement Officer came knocking on my parents door demanding the court fine of £500ish to be paid (despite I don't live there anymore). So my parents paid him off and I now owe them the full money. Would that be classed as preferential treatment and a rejection? Would I answer "Yes" to the Have you preferred any creditors over others? question because of this?
I waited 2 hours at CAB at the drop in service, and they then told me to come back another day and at 9am, as they do a max of 4 debt issues per day. I've also spoken to StepChange for the initial discussion, but waiting for a phone call from them to talk more about a DRO. At the moment £90 is a lot to me, so I dont want to waste the money for an application that is very likely to be rejected! Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks.0 -
payments to a CCJ are not preferential because if you dont pay them you are at risk of further action, so it should not affect the DRO0

OT in a way, surely it is not legal for them to be knocking at your parents house or phoning your employer?
I would contact the ombudsman as soon as possible.0
