What uses Apple Quicktime?
I am finding that it has a tendency to decide it deserves to start on start-up & it then causes problems with my PC - especially the not liking to boot-up fully in one go that I mentioned a few weeks back.
I am thinking of deleting Quicktime for this reason but dont want to affect other files or programmes if they really need it.
So any Ideas on what maybe be using Quiccktime to help me decide wether to keep it on the computer?

The only application that requires Quicktime's codecs is iTunes. You might have web browsers set to use Quicktime Player too but that can be changed. You can also stop Quicktime Player from starting up automatically but I don't know how to do that offhand on Windows (I assume you're using Windows).0

QT is useful to have but it can be easily stopped from loading when you start your PC.
If you are using xp
Click on the start button then on run, type msconfig and hit OK. Go to the last tab - Startup - look for the qttask entry and remove the tick, hit apply and ok and that should be you. you don't have to restart right away, you can also remove real audio and anything else you don't really need to start when you turn on your pc0 -
There was a thread a few months ago about stopping Quicktime from loading automatically at start up:
