in Credit cards
Hi all,
New to the forum but need a bit of help after searching round for the answer.
I've never had any trouble obtaining credit in the past and have never missed any payments, defaulted etc etc and my credit report according to Experian is very good. I have a couple of credit cards that I'm paying off comfortably and my report reflect this.
The trouble is, I've just been declined for a new mobile phone contract. I bought a new phone last year in Dec with EE, but cancelled after a week (as per the terms of the contract) as the phone wasn't what I expected. I then tried to buy a different phone through them and was declined for reasons that weren't explained. Could this have been because of multiple credit searches going against me?
Having now waited a few months I have just tried again to buy a new phone with Vodafone but again was declined.
As said before, my credit report appears to be very good, I've never missed any payments and earn a good salary so I just can't get my head around why I would be declined.
Has anyone had any issues like this when trying to get a mobile phone? Or issues with Experian not showing the full picture with regards their credit report? Is there any way of getting a more in depth report that's better than Experian?
Any info much appreciated.
Cheers

Thanks Lee for sorting out the issue with Vodafone specifically.
I've still not got to the bottom of the initial problem with EE but very pleased that Vodafone looked into my problem on an individual basis and after providing some additional details it's been sorted.
Thanks again.0 -
