BT Home Hub help

I've just changed from an asdl modem to Bt home hub.

With the old modem I was able to see, in the right hand side of the taskbar, a modem icon with the connection speed & also the sign that says you are connected. I can't see anything that I can click on to disconnect from the internet.

Any help would be appreciated.

No need to disconnect since broadband is always on anyway.

If you really want something similar, go into Control Panel then Network Connections, right-click your network connection (which might be Local Area Connection or Wireless Network Connection), click Properties and tick 'Show icon in notification area when connected'. To disconnect, right-click the icon and click Disable. To reconnect, open Network Connections and enable it - too much hassle if you ask me. Alternatively, switch off the Home Hub.

I did what you suggested. You're right, too much hassle, I'll leave it alone

    Thanks for your advice
