How about birdcages for your table centres?
Because we live & married in Blackpool we had copies of programmes from the old venues - Winter Gardens, Grand Theatre, Illuminations, Tower Ballroom, Pleasure Beach & North Pier Theatre laminated and used as our table names, with silver candelabra which looked fab - maybe you could think along those lines - Metro stations, museums, famous landmarks?0 -
Not sure if I'm allowed to mention another forum but I was a but like you on my own organising our wedding, I joined a forum called wedding ideas magazine forum and it was brilliant as that is all everyone wants to talk about on there and no question is too small or silly.
I found it really helpful as all the ladies were going through the same thing and they have some nifty ideas for saving money on things too.0 -

Hey Bonkers,
Firstly Congrats on your impending marriage!
Secondly whilst I have no particular ideas on tackling the various MIL, Mother etc issues I will say if you need inspiration, someone to rant at etc then fell free to keep posting. From what I've seen everyone on these boards are lovely and will be more than happy to bounce in excitement with you as well as help out with crafty ideas where they can.
You'll have an MSE wedding family before you know itEveryone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!? :huh:0
