ntl broadband not in my area - can i have BT line just for bb

hi all,

I have ntl dial up and need bb bu ntl are so crap that they dont have bb in my area (london suburb). ntl might as well give up when it comes to bb! they really suck!

So i would need a BT line. But i want to keep ntl for calls as they are cheaper.

Does anyone know if BT will install a line just for bb while I keep my ntl line? Or would i be forced to take up a BT phone package too?

Also - how much is BT line rental per month? then i can add it to cost of bb subscription and compare it based on total true cost.

I've tried calling BT but cant get through to them at weekends!

I am sure you need a line for telephone, although you dont have to use it, you will still have to pay line rental.

hmmm.....BT telephone account....so that means having to subscribe to one of their phone packages where I'd pay even if I dont use it?

I need bb while not paying through the nose for phone calls!

I pay £15 a month with ntl for all day calls unlimited anywhere in UK except mobiles etc. can i get that with BT?
