Conveyancer never replying

I am in the process of selling and buying at the moment and I am having major problems with our conveyancers. They are a local firm of solicitors with a specialist coveyancing arm and they were recommended to me by a couple of people.
I received paperwork from them and sent it all back but since then its all gone a bit quiet and they haven't replied to any of 4 emails that I have sent since 24th March. One of these was asking for an update (15th April) and a couple have been asking them to look into issues with a covenant and boundary in order to have them resolved for our purchase.
I appreciate that they will have many clients and our deals aren't neccesarily quite at the stage of being about to happen, although we do have our mortgage offer and surveys have been done, but I would expect at least a resonse to emails.
Am I expecting too much from conveyancers here? Are they really just there to process paperwork?

Have you made a telephone call? Maybe they went off sick and there has been an error with picking up e-mails or suchlike. Otherwise put in a complaint, switch to another conveyancer within the practice or take your business elsewhere.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
