Help and advice please regarding balance transfer from store card

I successfully applied for a Platinum Barclaycard to transfer a balance from a Topshop (Santander managed) store card.
The balance transfer has twice failed with each bank blaming the other. I tend to side with Barclaycard as they have no reason to be difficult, they want my business, and think that Topshop card are being awkward as they dont want to lose my business.
Im stuck really and just want to know if anyone else has had a similar problem and how did it get resolved?

Some storecards can't be transferred. You'd need a money transfer option on a card to pay it off.

Otherwise you'll have to do it the old fashioned way.

Does the Topshop card number have the standard 16 digits? (some storecards have 17, 18, or even 19 digits I believe).

Could Barclaycard could do you a money transfer (at the BT rate of interest of course)?

Hi, thanks for your responses. It has 16 digits. Everytime the transaction is refused they say 'Lloyds TSB' cannot find my details. But the card is managed by Santander. Topshop have confirmed they would accept a balance transfer, which is why I am so very confused and frustrated!
