30th Birthday Ideas -South of France?

Hi all,

Thinking about my 30th in mid June and where to go for some major luxury, and was thinking about the South of France would want a hotel near to the beach like to relax and soak up the sun.
Its just for myself and mum the holiday.

Also open to suggestions, was thinking about going back to Atlantis dubai but really don't want to fly max 4 hours.

No budget, ideally 7 - 10 days away as long as the sun shines I'm happy.

I would suggest Cannes (La Croisette area) or Nice (Around the Promenade des Anglais). The beaches are superb (can be crowded) and there is plenty to see - markets, big shops, scenery, art galleries.

Villefranche-sur-mer is lovely - there is a Holiday Inn and a Best Western there. (I've stayed at the BW and it is lovely, but you have to go down a steep hill to get to the beach, whereas the HI is right by the beach!). It is more or less in the middle of Nice and Monaco - when I was there with my parents we arranged for a tour of the area which included Menton, Monte Carlo, a short drive into Italy, Eze and a perfume factory!
