adding videos to iPod

struggling to add video or films to my ipod video, ive used the search but couldnt find much. I know the drag and drop for music but how do you do it with films?
I've downloaded a load of mpeg's i want to load onto it, and also wondered if i can copy from a DVD and add that too

Im guessing i have to get the films into iTunes first but how? And will itunes convert the formats so they'll play?

You will have to download a converter to convert files to mp4. itunes dont convert it for you as they want you to waste money on buying videos from them:mad: . i use this converter http://www.jodix.com/ it is free and easy to use. It does take abit of time but thats not a major issue. When the file is converted right click it and click open with and then itunes. This should add it to your itunes libary and work fine. You could copy from a dvd but then you would have to convert the dvd file to mp4 format and again right click and open with itunes.

I thought the (free) QuickTime does the conversion. Or do you need the Pro version?
