IMO you might want to sit down and order your priorities, perhaps even be more flexible, given it's London and you will be moving with a young baby which is not fun. I just think you could end up stressing finding the right house in the right location with the right neighbours for the right price at the right time.
I think you might be right here...we do need to look at this carefully.
ON one hand the neighbourhood is very child friendly and plus my wife's place of business (not a high turnover I might add , just a start -up) is within walking distance so no commuting for her , on the other hand you pay for that privilege with high rental prices.
