looking for cottage to let midway between Enfield and the North West!

Hi everyone,

as the title states, I am looking for a cottage to hire over bank holiday weekend that is midway between Enfield and the North west. So far I have looked at The Cotswolds and the heart of England. Can anyone recommend a particular site where the prices are reasonable please?

That depends what you call reasonable?
Sykes tend to have cheaper cottages but also have the lower quality ones, you would be better searching owners direct or last minute cottages to rent direct, usually you will save the booking fees and commission that an agency charges.

Try the Landmark Trust for something very reasonable and a bit unusual!

I've used Welcome Cottages a lot in the past, they have some very nice places, well equipped at reasonable prices. To get the best value try avoiding the obvious touristy areas if you don't mind driving, Cotswolds is lovely but if you're in some of the more popular spots like Bourton etc you'll pay more just for the location
