Does a utility search affect your credit file??

I couldn't find a suitable section so I have put it here. I have been trying to go a long period of time with no credit searches and switched my gas and elec supply the other day. However I can see the have done a credit search on Experian and it comes up as utilities just wondering if anyone knows on here is this seen by lenders and does it go against me ?
Or is it like the searches that don't go against you like the verification ones etc
