WiFi at home. Otherwise you would need a data connection to download something. How else would you do it?

My phone says the Arriva m-ticket app isn't compatible despite having a modern Samsung Android phone.

Do you have to do this on the day you want to travel, or is the ticket valid for a while?

If you look at the step by step guide I posted earlier on it gives the answer to your question. You can use it any day but you need to activate it (via an Internet connection) on the day you want to use it.

yes thanks, I followed the guide but the app doesn't seem to work quite as simply as that. Not sure what's happened...I can't find any reference to an actual ticket!

I think they are supposed to text you the pin number, but mine didn't come through. And without that you can go no further!

I used mine today. They text me my PIN code.
