don't know much about tablet computers and need to get one for ds1. the fact that it has quite a few extras with it make me even more suspicious that it cant be up to much. all it is needed for watching catch up tv and internet access. will this do the job or should I look elsewhere?

It's certainly not top spec, but I have one with near identical specs and it is fine for internet, iplayer, flash games etc
It doesn't mention Google Play (apps) support, which, although not essential, is recommended for easy acces to the latest apps
This one is a better spec, and says it supports Google play. I've used Ebuyer for years with no problems. You could buy the accessories seperately and still save money. - http://www.ebuyer.com/407319-sumvision-cyclone-voyager-tablet-pc-cycvoy70 -

That tablet looks expensive for what it is, look at tech specialists to see what there offering
here one to look at http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/Acer_Iconia_B1_8GB_7_inch_Android_4.1_JB_Tablet_in_Black__NT.L15EK.001/version.asp

Why would suggest one that is £50 more than the one in my link?? Is there a reason why you think it's worth it?0 -
I would also be wary of any business run from a residential address.. Googling the telephone shows quite a few businesses run from there..
For that kind of price, you are in the range for a Kindle Fire, or other Mainstream produced device rather than a 'No-name' clone imported/dropshipped possibly? from China...0 -
I'd be wary. Difficult to know the origins of this device, who made it etc.0

Insanity purchase.....!!!!
Put it this way, there is one in Lidl tomorrow with literally twice the specification for HALF the price!.... Lidl 28 day no quibble returns policy if you don't like it and usually a Lidl long warranty too. Even a choice of girl or boy colours.

Saw this in their catalogue and am most unimpressed with the specification. I'm not a Tablet person, but to me the screen resolution and battery life seem especially poor.
I would expect 1024 x 600 pixel resolution from a 7" screen, not 800 x 480.0 -

All quite true and I am certainly not saying its a 'best buy' per se the only point I was trying to illustrate is it has twice the cameras, twice the CPU cores, twice the storage and a bigger battery than the one the op asked about for half the price and from a lot safer source!0 -

We are certainly agreed that the unit in the OP is carp for the money.0
