Kindle Fire HD - All apps disappeared

Hi
I bought a kindle fire HD a couple of months ago, ive switched it on today to use and all the apps i have downloaded for free and also ones ive paid for have totally disappeared.
Anyone else had experience of this or know how to get it all back

Where are your apps from - I use Google Play store and every app I've ever had, free or not, is under the 'my apps' section and can be re-downloaded again anytime

I download off of the device from amazon but its wiped my details in amazon and also off the kindle fire hd as well, not quite sure what to do as i had paid for quite a few apps as well

Log back into your Amazon account with your kindle,then on the apps page touch the cloud button.You should see all your apps and they can be downloaded again for free.

Do the same with books if you bought any all your Amazon content is saved on the Amazon cloud in your account.
