Heatline Combi Boilers

I am considering fitting a Heatline Boiler. But have not heard of them. Does anyone have one fitted? If so what are they like? Reliable?
They do offer a 2 year guarantee.

  • Best Combi Boilers are made by Valiant or Bosch Worcestor. Can't recommend any other to you. Remember you get what you pay for - if you are going to move soon then you might be OK and can take a chance.

  • The Heatline Solaris boiler we bought has stopped working again, due to the warrenty being working hours only we are now without hot water and heating for the weekend.
Last time the boiler broke down over Christmas we had to wait over 2 weeks as we were given the number by the in warrenty line of an engineer who was on holiday for two weeks!
I definitley could not recommend the heatline boiler and warrenty, this is unfortunate as other reveiws stated that engineer called with 24 hours!

Hello, I am a heat-line service agent. I work weekends but it is unreasonable to expect every one to work 7 days a week or work at charismas. I believe other makes would be the same with warranty. In fact heat-line is more flexible with there warranty and cover some installation faults that other would charge for.
  • avoid heatline unless as previously said youre gonna be moving and it wont matter to you that in 3 weeks it'll be broken down.

vailant, glow worm, saunier duval are all made in the same factory by the same people (ive been there) so they are all of equal standard really.

worcestor are huuugely overpriced but that is down to having a good reputation.

in my experience of both fitting and selling of boilers i think that the best boiler you can get for your money would nearly always come with a baxi label.........

you do get what you pay for tho yes.

Not at all, heat-line boilers are very much in budget boiler price bracket but are fine if fitted correctly. baxi is no better then any other make not with all the dodgy 105e/HE pcbs that go after 2-3 years.

If you want a quality boiler I would get a viessmann 200w but then again it is more then twice the price of a heatline vizo. btw Worcester have manufacturing in turkey as well(but they like to keep it quite).

If I was getting a heatline boiler that is 24kw then the vizo plus is the one to get. If more power is need then the Solaris is good.
  • just out of interest m.a.s.h

    what areas to you serve?

Most of my jobs for heat-line are in Middlesbrough (yes it is the carp hole of the universe) but do hartlepool and up to Redcar(but not much in Redcar). There is other engineers kicking around here for heatline as well. for the people that do not know them places they are in the north east
  • After my last post the engineer did call on Saturday morning despite the in warrenty line provided by domestic and general stating they didn't.
The boiler has stopped working twice more making this the FOURTH time we have been without any hot water or heating despite have a new boiler.
the third time the boiler went down we were waiting four or five days while the engineer was waiting for parts from heatline.
This time the boiler went down on Friday and Domestic & General have told me to ring Heatline on Tuesday so we will be without any heating or hot water for another four or five days.
  • If you brought a brand new car !!! would you put dirty fuel in it ???

No I didnt think so either, but thats where most of the broken down boiler start... from very mucky systems... :(

It dont matter if you've got a V8 turbo sports car, it wont go no-where if you dont look after it and run it on the cleanest fuel/oils & filters etc...

The same goes for all of the New Generation "low water content/condensing" boilers, what ever the make/name of the badge stuck on the front of it. :D:D:D
