Hello
I have recently had a quote from Crystal Windows for 4 windows (2 quite small, 2 ave size but wide), and they quoted nearly £3000, then the next day they called saying they had a unique situation where they could offer us the windows for about £1600!, but only if we take it in the next few days. I know they are obviously trying to con us after reading some of the threads.. but I am wondering what sort of price I should be looking at, is the 1600 more like it?
I am very nervous of which company to go with as I have have heard some horror stories, and noone has recommended a good one to us yet!
I live in Bedfordshire if anyone has any recommendations!?
Thanks
Bex

I suppose £1600 is probably about right for supply and fitting in your expensive part of the UK. You dont say the rough sizes of the windows (quite small and average but wide are meaningless) At Swansea prices I would recon around £1K. The pressure to sign up in Days is a SCAM. Forget them and ask people who have had the job done by small local firms for recommendations. Ask your local Building Control. Also forget gimmics like "Staybright coating"0

Just read the message about the windows, I don't know alot about windows but we have just had a garage conversion done and got french doors and a huge window for £400
we also changed the windows at the front of the house, kithen, bedroom and en suite and they only came to £315
Albeit, my OH is in the window trade supply fixture and fittings to glazing firms so got them a bit cheaper but I still think £1600 is alot of money.0 -
We had a quote from crystal in south london and they said for 7 windows, 1 bay, and 2 doors 6k so i think 3K is way too much.
Does anyone know if crystal are any good?0
