Virgin payg mobile: texts less than 160 basic characters long charged for twice over.

    I had a quick search through VM's website but couldn't find anything where it states how many characters are allowed before it splits messages into multiple messages. I could only find a note stating that modern phones allow long messages, and that these will be split into potentially THREE messages, but not at which point they will be split.

    It looks like they count spaces as characters which I didn't know about - the mean beggars!

    "One page is 160 characters long (that includes spaces!) and if you go over this, you'll notice it'll go into more pages. Each page counts as one text."
