Or perhaps its an attempt to stop people opening cases for the postage cost being as little as £0.05 over the cost of the stamp value.
Look at the total item cost inc P&P if happy bid . if not don't.
Do not bid then complain after winning a item about any costs clearly showm.
Or ignore my advice and carry on as you are .

Whether you agree with the costs or not, with a p & p dsr of 4.6, that seller is already in trouble and needs to give free p & p to save their accountYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Buyers can and will do as they please. They're free to complain if they feel they are being overcharged. Sellers should be able to minimise the buyer complaints. It's all about letting the buyer believe they are getting a good deal, I don't believe my buyers want to know how much I'm charging them for my petrol.Or perhaps its an attempt to stop people opening cases for the postage cost being as little as £0.05 over the cost of the stamp value.

How do you find that out? I have tried to find out what my stars are but have never come accross such figures on my DSR. Where am I not looking? Where does the 4.6 show in this case?
You need to have sold 10 items within a set period to have visible stars.
This trhead makes interesting reading if you do have stars and explains why the seller mentioned in this thread is probably going to be restricted very soon leading to a ban;

Seems odd that ebay would be so keen to needlessly ban it's paying customers?
If someone charges £3.40 to post a bundle of clothes does it really make them a thief who needs to be prevented from selling things to the great unwashed?"Love you Dave Brooker! x"

They ban to stop buyers being unhappy. A happy buyer will not be leaving low stars and if enough buyers are unhappy enough to mark a seller down then ebay act.
Buyers are far more important to the site that sellers. We sellers are ten a penny, the sites that suffer are the ones that have a lot of sellers but absolutely no buyers at all.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Buyers can NOT bring a case based on P&P
I was recently charged for 1st Class recorded and recieved by MyHermes. These services are not comparable. The overcharge was just shy of £5, so not a small amount.
When I politely complained I received a tirade of justifications along the lines of the original posting here. I left a negative.0 -
Ugh this is totally my bugbear. It annoys me when sellers try to charge for everything under the sun. P+P is just that - the cost of the postage and packaging, any other costs should be included in the start price. I wouldnt expect to have to pay your bus fare or whatever.
Increased p+p is really misleading too. Last time it happened to me it was a skirt I had bought. I just assumed it would be made from a good quality heavyish material from the cost of the postage. It arrived and was total rubbish, really thin and cheap, the seller had just doubled the cost of the p+p. Absolute rip-off. Theres no way I would have bought it if I had know the quality of the skirt.0
