Do you mean you want investments to cover the cost of being in a care home (either using conventional investments or a immediate needs annuity) or investing in a care home itself?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

A REIT has recently listed on the LSE, so this might provide a more transparent option. And one far more easily traded too.
Target Healthcare REIT, ticker THRL
Make sure to read the prospectus beforehand.Living for tomorrow might mean that you survive the day after.
It is always different this time. The only thing that is the same is the outcome.
Portfolios are like personalities - one that is balanced is usually preferable.

Can you provide any details? There are lots of care homes and companies running them but a lot have also gone bust or got into difficulty recently like Southern Cross.
Yes , there have been issues hence my caution , this looked a bit better than others I have seen:
the info is carehomesinvestment.co.uk
did not know if anyone had heard or dealt with them
but certainly not rushing in ,I am aware all that glitters ....0 -
