MyHermes quietly slipping prices up?

I still suspect that they are working to put prices up- the system this morning is a shambles.I definitely saw a brief glimpse of a new home page when I logged in with higher prices before it went to the usual one.
I've had labels refuse to print , I've been double charged today and my 'runner' has just taken a sack load to the shop for me to find they are having issues with their connection to the system.
I hope I get my double charge back (although strangely enough it was still cheaper ot pay them twice than RM once!)

They do change their prices.
Before Xmas the differential between Parcelshop and courier collected was £1.
I saved quite a bit that way and gave the dog a good long walk through the park at the same time but it was hard lugging the parcels.
You just have to check back often.
As an aside, the expience at the Parcelshop (mine is a petrol station) is so much more pleasant than the PO. There's only ever one person paying for petrol in front of me and now I even by-pass them and go to the end of the counter where they do the parcels. I unload them and shout "parcel" and within seconds theres a friendly and efficient person deling with me. It's wonderful.0 -
i seem to recall seeing someone asking hermes on their facebook page at start of april i.e. when post office prices rose, if they had price increase planned at hermes
fwiw they replied hermes prices went up at start of january & they had no price increases imminent0 -
My double charge has not reached Hermes, according to them and they say paypal has it. Paypal say the two payments have gone and MyHermes have both.

Hope they use it to invest in bags or cages for smaller parcels.
Ive always belived they were only set up for big items.
I posted a small parcel last week - arrived smashed to bits. Not a good start..0 -

Funny you should say that. A well packed china item arrived with the box completely smashed half the packaging missing and the item in a myriad of pieces. The buyer sent me a photo as he said it looks like it was opened, broken and then all stuffed back into the open box.
Obviously uninsured as china is not covered for damage

Everything I've sent with Hermes since 2nd April has been good. I have had one item lost prior to that over xmas 3 years ago.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Hermes ran a Winter promotion when their prices dropped, they rose again not long back. Looks like new price increases from May 7th though. I like Hermes, you can track parcel all along the route and if there appears to be a problem I've always been able to sort it out by contacting them via email. Problem is many people don't bother to check the tracking so if there is a delivery problem they don't know about it until the parcel ends back up on their doorstep.0
