Who can see tenant credit check on my credit file?

Hello,
I found a nice property to rent some weeks ago and without thinking went immediately ahead with letting the agent do a credit check on me. The agent told me 5 days ago that I passed the credit check but I then changed my mind as I realised the property was too expensive for me to afford. Unfortunately the agent have now kept my admin fee but in all honesty I am just relieved not to have tied myself to the property.
As I am still looking for a place to rent and will probably be going ahead with another property and the accompanying credit check in the coming week, my question is will the new agent or who ever checks my credit file be able to see that a tenant credit check has just been done on me? It hasn't shown up in my file yet but I believe it will do soon as when happened when I rented my current property: a credit check was done on me and this now shows under "Other Searches" in my credit file as "Tenant verification" (this is in the Equifax credit report). Can whoever does a tenant credit check see this as it will probably look like I tried to rent another property and then failed a credit check, a sure red flag for anyone.
I could also tell the next agent what happened but I'm worried that they will view me unfavourably as I went all the way to the signing of the tenancy agreement and then pulled out. They might also not believe me and think that I failed the check as they can't see the outcome (I believe?). I would therefore rather not mention any of this to the next agent unless I really need to.
Does anyone know what agents can see when checking tenant's credit file, or in case they use a credit agency, would the credit agency disclose a past tenant verification on the file to the letting agent?
Sorry about the long post, I hope I explained this clearly! I just feel stupid to have put myself in this situation and now worry that it might show up on my file and make it look like I failed a credit check
