addresses

Hi, we had a strange Ebay/Paypal issue this evening.......

we both have separate Ebay/Paypal accounts and have both managed to sort different / alternative postal addresses out. Mostly for where our family live (for presents ect)

However tonight Ebay would not let my wife who had bought some LP's in America change the address to our daughter in Washington. This despite having done the same thing only 7 days ago.

I all so appear not to be able to add new addresses now.

So has some thing changed? or are we just missing some thing simple?

  • Best course here is to actually ring Paypal directly and find out what glitch has ocurred and they can talk to you and resolve this.

I may have to ring as their email reply was a stock answer not about the question asked :-(

After further attempts at sorting this we have found we can ad addresses for UK only, but not USA ones or even see the list of earlier submitted ones :-/

    Thanks

  • I am not an expert but have had a few dealings with paypal and had other addresses for UK family and friends, but not oversees ones, still I wonder if the verified address thing only works in one country, ie the UK and there may be a new cross channel regulation to fix, but as you say, no one has hijacked your account and you added addresses beforehand so, I would give them a ring tomorrow.

I recently spoke to a UK person who resolved my account issues inside of about 5 mins. I was setting up the Fast Pay IN and Fast Pay OUT when I was trasnferring Paypal funds to my bank ,and vice versa as it was taking like 3-4 days, so now it is INSTANT he talked me through what screen to type and I was delighted to have the bank transfers being instant I can top up paypal or move the money into my bank as well and that was why I needed to be logged on with my screen on so he could talk me through my side, and hey presto, sorted.

Do not fear the phone !!!! hehe The email thing seems a bit robotic I agree it is like a computerised generic reply.
