Flights to Hong Kong Or South Korea (June to September)

Hi All,

Does anyone know the best (cheap to cheapest) way to fly to Hong Kong or South Korea (apart from the current BA offer which is only good till mid-June)? I have typically used Bridge the World, Flightcentre, Trailfinders etc., but seeing as I do this regularly (once a year), there must be a better way to do this.

Also, I'm thinking about the frequent flyer miles too. Usually I have been with a different airline every time, whoever was cheapest, but maybe a given airline through a given agent is consistently cheap that I can make good use of frequent flying with?

Any ideas?

many thanks
rolf

How much is your cheapest flight to HK?

I am flying in July and the best I can find is £498 including taxes.

ROLF don't know what your best price is at the moment but if you did the following route AMS-LHR-HKG and return then the price is £438 inc taxes (BA), however you have to take into account the cost of a return "cheapo" flight to AMS from the UK, but you never know.

Or £488.10 with Cathay Pacific going June to Sept inc taxes (direct).

    Rolf,

Can you please tell me where you got these prices from?

The cheapest now I have found is £488 via Swiss Air but again it is not direct.

Where did you get the Cathay flight details from?

    Thanks,

    Ho yin

    It was me that posted the Cathay Pacific price and it is the following;

    dep:- 7 June 1245 0800(+1)
    dep:- 20 Sept 0015 0620

    Price is £487.80 inc taxes

    11966 Asia miles awarded.

For a return trip in Economy Class you are looking at 60000 miles.

Ah .. you are not in peak season that is why ..

    Leaving June.

I need to leave on 9th July and return 20th July.

Cathay Pacific quote me £987 .. nice :-(

So the £488 is cheapest then ... If I can get £488 during my peak season ...

Then surely you can get it even cheaper for when you want to travel?

    Thanks anyway.

Yes also looked at yours and the prices were very high for July. If you have it for that price then that is a good deal as all the ones I have looked at were above £600.

    Have a nice trip.

I was going to book 26 May till 31 May using the BA Mail offer for £300, held off. Now the price for the same dates is £506, go figure.

I guess what I'm trying to say is book early, otherwise prices will go up.

Also have you tried calling Airline Network and Dial A Flight, they have booth been reasonably cheap for me in the past.

    Thanks guys, much appreciated.

Can I ask where you are getting these prices from for the airlines? Are you going direct via their websites, or via an intermediary site, and if the latter, which ones are you using?

    many thanks
