                    Hello
I've just closed an NPB case (which should result in a strike on their account) but noticed that I still have the option to leave the buyer feedback...should I leave a false positive to warn other sellers? I actually contacted two of the sellers who had 'sold' items to this buyer recently and they advised that they didn't receive payment either.
If I leave a false positive, is the NPB still able to leave me feedback as well e.g a negative?
Not sure whether to just leave it be.
Any advice would be great fully received.

            Hello,
The NPB should not be able to leave any feeback as the transaction has been canceled. I tend to forget about the whole thing and leave it be. As I have found out that you win some and you loose some on eBay. Hopefully this does not put you off selling on eBay as it really is a good way to make some extra cash! 0 0

Neither you or your NPB can leave feedback once the case has been closed. Are you sure you've closed the case properly?0

You can try - but it won't let you.
You can only do it up to the point the case is closed.
Even if it does not put a line through the feedback option - it wont let you.0

I have to disagree with the majority of posters on here.
I have had a few NPB lately, a couple have contacted to say "changed my mind/teenage daughter bidding using my account" etc and others who have made no contact at all. For those that have made no contact at all I have left negative feedback (in the form of false positives) after the case has been closed in my favour, and I have seen others doing that as well. I figured best to warn others and if they neg me back then I'll request via eBay for it to be removed!!
What I have discovered is that the option to leave feedback after a closed NPB case isn't there on my laptop or work computer but it *is* on my iPhone. So it may be a glitch in the app?
 Hope that helps.Total money owed: [STRIKE]31/07/11- £17,877[/STRIKE], LBM - 14/10/12 :j, 01/06/13 - £0 DEBT FREE!!!!

Thanks for all your replies - I have noticed the same as above - on the full eBay site you cannot leave feedback after an NPB case has closed but you CAN via the iPhone eBay app!
Decided to leave a false positive in this instance - the buyer has only been a member since March and has 1 feedback despite winning 9 auctions in their bidding history....two of the sellers I contacted have also not received any payment or comms from this buyer so I feel warning others is appropriate in this case.
Thanks again for the advice everyone! :beer:0

Buyers can get false positive removed, and I'm not sure, but they may be able to report you for missuse of the feedback system.0

Yep, and the big sellers on the community boards say that buyer can also get the strike removed as seller has left a positive. I have noticed that those time wasters with false positives seem to get past my blocks sometimes when those with no false positives have been prevented from bidding.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
