Is my solicitor taking advantage of me-help

Hi
My solicitor has sent me all the searches etc paper work near to completion, there are some issues which he has not identified such as building regulations, he stated that they always send the 'Report on Title once we have had all replies and searches in'.
Should he not have sent me the search information when he was raising the mortgage deeds?
Is this normal practice, not to discuss issues such as building regs, and is it normal practice to say it is all clear? Is no building regs an issue that solicitors are suppose to investigate???
I feel he is just pushing for completion rather than identifying the issues and letting me know
Also the vendor has a notice of bankruptcy. Again solicitor did not mention this to me, I have found this out myself following reading the paper work, will this have any affect on me purchasing the property.
Am I begin overly cautious or naive. Is this all worth putting a complaint in?
please your thoughts much appreciated, thanking you in advance x
