If you want to continue the CPS, you certainly need to stay with BT.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

Hi Old Git,
The CPS only packages aren’t something that we can offer to customers anymore so if you moved house unfortunately we wouldn’t be able to continue providing you with this service.
If you would still like to be a customer of ours and would be interested in any of our line rental or broadband packages, if you send me an email and we can see what package would be most suitable for you.
Kind Regards,

You can only keep your number if you are moving to a house connected to the same exchange. Which for a move of 200 metres is very likely, but not guaranteed. No free lunch, and no free laptop
