Basic simple digital camera for older user

Could anyone recommend a very basic digital camera suitable for an older relative.
The resolution is not too important - it would mainly be used for email and an occasional 4" x 6" print. What is most important is that it is very easy to use and to download photos to the computer.
Any recommendations would be much appreciated.
TIA

Have a look at the Panasonic Lumix range. I saw one on sale for £45 in Currys 3 days ago. They have a few models around the £50-65 mark and they are good quality cameras. You could try Argos or Amazon as well.0

I'm on my second Panasonic Lumix and, as with their video and HDD recorders, I've always found the user interface to be very intuitive and easy to use.
Note that when copying pics from camera to PC, all you need to know is how to copy/paste in the same way as you normally do on the PC. You DON'T need to install any special software, merely connect the camera with the supplied lead, open up an explorer window for each of the camera and the destination folder on the PC, and copy/paste0 -
Also have a look at the Canon Powershot range.
Don't buy a cheap 'no name' brand to save a few quid, there's no need.0 -
Thanks very much for the suggestions - I'll certainly look at the Lumix and Powershot. It's so difficult trying to get an idea online - it's fine for the specifications, but almost impossible to get an idea of ease of use. But unfortunately there is nothing locally to help0

I would also vote for the Canon Powershot range
around £60

I've got a couple of Fuji cameras and am pleased with them.

Is there an Argos or a John Lewis near you - they have cameras you can have a play with before buying. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0
